damn... it sounds so ridiculous. I understand if it's the whole exhaust system since each county has different emission regulation, but these are just TIPS!!! I have called 5 dealers (2 in CA, 1 in TX, 1 in RI, 1 in NJ) and they said that I can pay for it first and wait to see if they ship it to US. If they can't ship it to US, I'd rather find someone who's visiting europe sooner later and ask him/her to buy and bring it for me.

Problem is (hopefully) solved. A friend in Europe will walk into the dealership tomorrow morning, and order the tips. As we all know, dealers don't stock crap that doesn't turn around fast, so there will be some waiting for him to receive them, and about a week after that, they should reach me. Hopefully by mid February, I'll have them on the car.

It's ridiculous that we have to go through this, in this day and age.

As you said earlier, shipping it to US is prohibited even though your friend buys it in europe. then is your friend gonna visiting the States just for giving you those tips??? If so, wow... you have an awesome buddy. I wanna have a buddy like him.

I never said that shipping is prohibited. I was refering to Rolex, and questioning whether BMW parts would be regulated like that, but they are not.
