Maybe we're miscommunicating here.

3,0 has one muffler (going sideways), and the tail pipes are pretty long (and skinny compared to the opening in the bumper). With the oval tips fitted to the 3,0 there is some room around the tips (same as on the V8!), and you can see some thermal wrapping if you look at the tips at the eye level (very nicely photographed above). If you look at the V8 tips (at the eye level), they have the same space around them as they come through the bumper. Maybe the V8 thermal wrap is laid out differently, but the opening in the bumper is the same, and there are no inserts to go around the oval tips.

I don't know how to explain it better, but there are no inserts, that can close the gap between the oval tips and the bumper.

rh71. Now THAT's impressive!

Looks like it doesn't come with clip on pieces. The photos SapphireBlackX5 took perhaps made the gap look bigger from an angle. Still a really good job but funny how you can't see the thermal wrap on the video clip isn't it?

That twin upgrade sounded amazing. The neighbours would LOVE me if I got that.....brilliant!

x5dreamer: stebro has since gone "under"... there is a whole thread on them around here. I used that vid as an example because it was the first thing that came to mind as far as being able to see the underside goes.

Actually, I wish I could take credit for those GREAT photos. I accidently responded to a post and they were included in the response. Kudos should go to bigd00755 for those photos!

BMW Parts and BMW Accessories | Bavarian Autosport carries these parts for US delivery. I'm thinking about getting this done as well.

great thread!! this looks great and will definitely be added to my list of summer mods. Does anyone know if they come in different styles. I want the V8 shape, but would like to have a glossy black finish exhaust. Not sure how a chromed exhaust would look after getting sprayed black.
