Help with DVD on Navi Entertainment

My X5 4.8 has rear entertainment, I understand that there is a way to view DVDs on the navi screen providing the vehicle is in park... Can anyone instruct me on how to do this.

Thank you.

I have the premium sound package with DVD changer in the glove box. All I do is select the slot with the DVD movie and it starts playing on the nav screen. I don't have rear entertainment, so may be different in that case.

You have to have the DVD changer to view DVD movies on the nav screen while on park. It does not work with just the RES.

If you do a search on this forum, there's a company here in Socal that sells the module that will allow you to watch DVD movies on your nav screen even when driving.

Salamat Golfer4life,
I do have the prem sound with the changer in the glove box does that mean if I load a DVD into the changer passengers in the front and rear of the vehicle can watch on both screens? Providing the vehicle is in PARK. I don't really want to be able to play DVDs while the car is in motion, my wife drives this X5 and her driving skills are not that great to begin with LOL

Just curious, if you have it, why not just load a DVD to see how it works?
