Sirius radio upgrade available??

Hey all, I have a '08 X5 with factory Sirius tuner built in and want to get the best of XM so I can get all the MLB stuff and when I called Sirius they said that I had to have my tuner upgraded to be able to receive these additional channels....She said the '09 BMW's have already been upgraded and are able to receive those channels...I called my local dealer and he said he had never heard of this but would look into it...I tried a few simple internet searches with no luck..Anyone know what this "upgrade" is and how it would need to be done??
