Snow falling in

I know people had mentioned the rain issue, but unfortunately I realized this weekend that it applies to snow as well. I opened the door to get in and a pile of snow fell on my seat. Nothing better than sitting on snow and having it melt on your pants.

There's gotta be something someone can install to prevent this from happening. Anyone have any ideas?

This happens on my e53 with snow. I havn't had it happen with rain yet but for snow I just use my hand to wipe the snow off of the top part of the door before getting in. No snow falls in if i do this.

They were called rain gutters, but BMW and other manufacturers went to wrap-over doors with no visible gutters, for the sake of appearance, years ago.

You've just got to remove the snow before opening the door.

I get my brush from the cargo area, brush the snow on top of the doors, open door, get in, drive away. No problems.
