How do I know if my X5 has self leveling?

I'm considering H&R Springs for the new X5. They are offered for trucks with and without self-leveling. I want to say that my X5 has it, but I'm not 100% sure (The car is fully loaded). How do I know for sure?

If you have 3rd row seats it is definitely self leveling, typically self leveling suspension makes hissing sounds when you unlock the car or when you close the door after getting out or lock the car.

I don't have 3rd row but I hear an electronic hissing sound when I open the door to get in... what is that?

I didn't opt for the 3rd row seat, but I have all other packages. Also, I haven't received the car yet. It's still in production. I'm just debating getting H&R Springs, but it's asking if I have self-leveling or not.

I did a search on the forum and some posts said that all 4.8i's have self-leveling. A few said that on the E70, a 3rd row seat is required to have it. I'm all confused. How do we know for sure?

Also, is the suspension adjustable on the 4.8? I read an older thread for the E53's that it was....

Sorry for all the questions. This is my first X5.

I hear that on my M5 when I shut the car down sometimes at night, in my garage. It's like the car is resetting or going into sleep mode or something. According to my fellow mates on E60.net and M5Board, this is a common sound for many BMW models when you shut it off. I don't believe this sound necessarily correlates to self-leveling, as most of the E60's (unless you have the wagon - E61) do NOT have self-leveling.

All 4.8i have self leveling and if you have a 3.0 with 3rd row you will have self leveling.

The suspension is not height adjustable, but the firmness can be adjusted with the "sport" button beside the shifter.

This is great. Thanks for clarifying!

Just curious, but why does the 4.8 have self-leveling, along with just the 3.0 with the 3rd row? Is the self leveling due to the increased overall weight of both vehicles (i.e., bigger enginer in one and additional seating in another)?
