I've never sat in an M3 but have in plenty 3-series... are their interiors pretty much the same? Do you miss the nicer X5 interior? I know performance is a different story.

I actually had an E90 330 also (before the X5). The interior of the M3 (and the whole car really) looks and feels upgraded from the standard 3, even though many of the interior bits are the same. The Novillo leather is extremely comfortable and looks awesome. A huge upgrade over the Nevada in the standard 3. The armrest is split so that the driver's side of it can slide forward. And the carbon leather trim (M-exclusive) literally gets comments from everyone that gets in my car.

I actually find it more comfortable than the X5 because the seats just fit me better and I like the driving position better. My X5 had the ventilated seats and they were a little too flat and hard for my tastes. I was hesitant to sell the X5 because I really thought I'd miss it, but that hasn't turned out to be the case at all.

Both vehicles are obviously very nice cars...
