The E70 comes with heated mirrors standard (at least in the US).
 Refer to page 52 of your manual. They come on automatically below a certain temperature.

Heated outside mirrors come on automatically below certain temperature thresholds. I think below 10°C they are on full, below 15° partial.

On the e39's the heated mirrors, washer nozzles, & door lock came on @ 45degrees F.
