Rear seat entertainment DVD remote

Hi,
Does anybody have the part number for the DVD remote for the middle rear seat entertainment DVD player? Also, where's the best place to purchase it cheaply?
Is this something i can purchase online and it'll work? It doesn't seem like it from a manual I've read online.
Thanks

Rear seat entertainment DVD remote

Did you ever get a response to this question? I just bought a CPO to replace my leased X5 4.8i and the car didn't have a remote for the DVD player. Should I ask the dealership? Shouldn't it be included with a CPO? Did you ever find out where to purchase one because the one at the dealership is $300

Every BMW owner should know that RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog is your friend. Took just a few minutes to find:
Remote control, rear 65506921553 $319.02

That is the list price-you can get it from Direct BMW and Mercedes Parts and Accessories for $229.98 plus shipping.

I bought 1 off ebay after the kids lost the original. I think I paid $50. You then have to take it to the dealer to program it. Don't ask me why, but you just have to. My dealer did the reprogram under warranty.
