They can't go too much higher than current or they will be at the X5M level pricing and at that point, why not get the M?

Also, if BMW wants their sales to continue to increase in the US, the more powerful X5 is a key market for them not to price themselves out of in order to compete with RR sport, Cayenne S, etc.

Just some of my thoughts:

- I honestly think it looks somewhat similar to the E53 facelift.
- The whole car looks short for some reason (probably just the photos).
- The front bumper from some angles looks like it has a bull bar.
- I think it's the relative distance apart of the fog lights that makes it look slightly like an X3 in a direct front view.
- The rear bumper rear diffuser area isn't my favorite.
- The rectangular tail pipes look pretty good. The single round tailpipes look completely stupid.
- Car needs running boards, no question.
- I do think the cut-outs on the sides of the front bumper are the side view cameras. Strange choice to highlight them in titanium. I would have preferred a more low key approach. Hopefully they'll work better than on the 7 series. See attached SIB 650309
- I wonder if nightvision will finally show up?
- I'm very disappointed at the apparent lack of interior changes. Did the interior department get the month off or something? Doesn't seem fair that the only group that worked on the car was the bumper department.
- The website clearly shows different cars. The model with the non-functional grills seems silly.

It looks like the rear entertainment is not the new one hung on the seatbacks?

The taillights look to be a different shape than current model. The shape of the lights that go into the side panel is more angular. So much for those that were planning to swap the new ones in.

Arrow

BMW have done a nice job with the LCI. There is still no option of comfort seats in the rear. This is somewhat disappointing as the seating in the rear is not most comfortable for a SAV of this price.

Waiting patiently to see how the LCI M Sport and the 45d turn out.

I seriously doubt they would introduce comfort seats in the rear given their size and complexity. Plus for the 3rd rear seat option I can't see how it would be even possible. (Hopefully that option is still available). Some other minor things that other BMW models have still doesn't seem to have made it's way to the X5 yet which is annoying given the price of a 5.0x-drive, including a lockable center storage console (on 5 series, 7 series) and oil temp gauge (basically on all the other models) instead of the ridiculous fuel efficiency indicator.
