I'll continue to follow the facelift thread in the meantime.
TT is coming 100%, it has already been mentioned in internal documents at BMW Germany. So does the new 4.0 l Diesel with 306 HP.
I also heard that BMW will offer the X6 TT Performance Package as an option for the X5 TT too.
LCI start is still April 2010 but it could change to an earlier date.
Just a couple of days to go until the official press release.

The new 40d diesel isn't 4.0 litres any more than the 35d is 3.5 litres. Both are 3.0 litre engines with different levels of tune, according to the reports on the 740d.

Should be interesting to see tests on the X5 40d, as the performance will be up another notch from the 35d, with 40 more hp.

Document indicated X5 4.0 l Diesel 306 HP. Can't say if it is the same engine used in the 740 but it would make sense.

I certainly hope you are right about this, but does anybody know when in the last 20 years BMW released a new model year 8 months early? The more I think about it, the less likely it seems we would see the LCI TTs before fall 2010.

If I remember correctly, the E60 LCI for 2008 arrived around April - May 2007.

I bought a 2008 535 (first model year of the new LCI model). It debuted in May 2007. In my case I waited for the September introduction of the manual transmission, but the automatics shipped in May.

Not as bad as Ford, who have debuted the next model year in January for some truck model lines, 11 months early.
