DVD Changer - no display Rear Passenger screen

Hello:

First post in a while. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2008 X5 about a month. I have a DVD changer in the front glove box. I put a DVD in the front and can see it in the Navigation screen...however it does NOT play in the rear screen for the passengers.

What must I do/change settings to get the video to display on the rear screen too?

If I put a DVD in the rear DVD single disk player- it works fine (but I can't see it in the Navigation screen).

I don't really care about the Navigation viewing...but really would like to be able to put the DVDs in the front so that my daughter can watch her Disney stuff in the back seat.

Thanks!

RNW

Hi Nynd:

Really?

Please pardon a probably very silly question: you're saying that putting DVD movies in the front glove box will NOT play in the rear seat screen? That seems counterintuitive...or I guess I didn't realize people like to watch a lot of movies in the front seat. LOL

So the rear player screen is not hooked together with the glove box DVD player? And there is no way to get the rear screen to connect to the 6 DVD changer in the glove box?

Thanks again...sorry for being redundant.
