welcome lights: extended time

Is it possible to increase the duration that the welcome lights stay illuminated?
It annoys me that the welcome lights shut off when I close the boot and still have to work my way to the drivers door in the dark...
thanks

The lights under the door handles correct? I agree it is much too quick to shut off in general - even when doors are still open - but saw no option in idrive. There's only the option of the pathway lighting duration which I don't find useful for my situations.

yep, the leds in the door handles work fine
it just shuts off way to soon
and pathway illumination is nice when you leave your car, but is useless when entering your car...

Just push the unlock button on the keyfob again, the lights will illuminate. Can't be adjusted.

crap.
On a car where almost everything can be adjusted and tuned to your liking, a simple feature like welcome lights can not be modified...
thanks anyway

I can control the time that the pathway lighting stays on in idrive, but I haven't found the controls for the welcome lights (yet)...
