Area of the world is irrelevant when it comes to quality control -- quality control is related to management desire and competence. It is not unheard of for parts rejected by, or not meeting the specifications of the contracting company's quality control, to then be sold under the manufacturing company's name, rather than discarded or recycled.

Just because Manufacturer "A" is supplying parts to Company "B," does not mean that the parts you buy directly from Manufacturer "A" under their name are the same quality as those purchased from company "B" under company B's name.

Sorry to hear that but are you sure it is coming from the replica rims? not the tire? How bad is it?

...it's a world econ out there, esp. in terms of cost conscious
manufacturing. Penquin nailed it. QC is an in-plant situ driven by
vendor/materials mgmt and process control methods.
I wouldn't have any qualms on the wheels...

tire is not out of round according to the shop and I did have it RF balanced with a Hunter machine. It's been balanced 4 times now but the problem persists. Don't know what else I can do about it other than try replacing the rim. Only vibrates the seats between 65-75mph.

Do you have hubcentric rings? I've had my rims mounted on my 740iL for over 2 years, still had vibrations, which prompted me to replace the suspension. In the meantime I let a friend put them on his 750iL and suddenly he got vibrations also. Once I told the people at Les Schwab about this, they measured my wheels and said that I needed hubcentric rings. I don't care if your wheels say they're made for your car or not, because mine are also...you still might need them after all.

No they don't. You can powdercoat or plastidip. I opted for the latter.
