centre headlight high beam question
The centre headlights have a halogene lightbulb in them, yet the dealership tells me they only light the rings and cannot be programmed to come on with the high beam like they could in the E60. Is this true? |

I believe that the center halogens are just for the "flash to pass" function, since the Xenons (a) do not react fast enough and (b) flashing xenons from off to on hurts their life.
I would expect that if the Xenon's are designed correctly, adding the halogens would increase the light output beyond legal levels. |

On both my E60 and my Range Rover there were additional halogen flashers, so there can't be any legal issues. Does anybody have them working? |

I never bothered to check the inside halo light (when it comes on, etc)... I'd be interesting to have them both (Xenon and the halogen) come on, brighten up the road
