Are you tapping the stop/start button or holding it? I think if you hold it you'll turn everything off...

A tap = turning the key from position II to I.
A hold = going from position II to 0.

^ Yes, you just need to hold the start/stop button to turn everything off.

The temperature chime might be programmable by your dealer.
