X5-Drive Day at Davos (Switzerland)

Hello @ all X5-Drivers !

I'm just coming home from an amazing day, today in Davos at the top of the "Flüelapass". BMW Switzerland had invited to a special security-drive Day with all the X-models, especially the X5. That was so much fun and lot of respect also to the car... Now i know, what's possible with the X5 ! And i tell you, it's a lot ! I drive my X5 since 12 month, but until know, i really know, what's really going on with it. Here are some pictures, i hope you like it...

Greets from Switzerland !
Roger

Looks like so much fun! (I miss Switzerland...)

Painted white bodykit on the white X5? Is this a car from BMW's fleet?

Robrog - what was the most eye opening thing that you found that the X could do which surprised you? I am also assuming they (BMW people) have provided those X's for you guys to drive? Looks like alot of fun...and if its someone else's, the better!!!

First of all, thank you all for the nice replys. The most spectacular thing for me was driving at the road's end in 10 or 20cm deep snow without any snow chains on the tires and really without any problems(you will see it also on the pictures). I ask the BMW-Instructor, what does he think about snow chains on the X5. He answer me, there is no situation in the snow with the X5 you need the chains. So i was really, really amazed about the X-Drive System. Simply unbelievable ! By the way, the tires - you're right "y5choi" - are part of the BMW's Winter Package, 18" with Dunlop Tires.

And yes, you've so right: It was a lot of fun. Sooner or later i will do it again... Does anybody to come along ?

The tires are part of BMW's standard winter tires package for the new X5 (E70, does not matter what setup or suspension is) 18" wheels with Dunlop runflat winters. I got the package on my 4.8i and they are solid.
