Oil Level Fix is in, Tip for Sunroof Failure

I picked up my X5 today. Three days at the dealer to get reprogrammed because of the "High Oil" sensor failure. BMW has fixed the software, but the dealer couldn't install it. So, they opened a PUMA, hooked the car up overnight and some tech in Germany logged into it and installed the software. When I picked it up, I started the car and a strange glyph lit up in the dash, indicating a sunroof failure. Well, the tech came out and said "this happens all the time, here's the fix". The fix is to push the sunroof switch up and HOLD IT for about two minutes. The sunroof cycles, and the error code clears. Nice tidbit!

Hey, Rufus,

Which dealer did you go to? I also have the software/sensor problem reading too much oil. TIA.
