I believe the answer to your question may be dependent on your
negotiation skills. If you know the invoice make a reasonable offer
you think will be accepted. A number of factors can play into
the final price. Are you paying cash, ect ect ect.
Doesn't really matter what kind of deal other people get
it's up to you to nail down a deal.

Why so High? Did you have to pay tariff in Dubai?

There are no taxes in Dubai. An X5 4.8 is normally priced at about $85k+ over here depending on the option. So if you go all out, it could hit $120k.

Good to know ... Thanks!

I am thinking of the Arabian gulf region and was not sure whether to bring my car (4.8) with me or not if I wind up there. Based on the prices, I think I'll ship my car if I decide to go!

PS. To bring it to Jordan, I would have to pay close to $50,000 in tariff!!!!

When we moved here about 1 and a half years ago we brought 4 of our cars for us. A 07 Yukon XL Denali, 06 RX400h, 06 325i, and a Honda Ridgeline. We had to pay 5% of the cars value and shipping costs thats it, plus another 5% for insurance.
There are a few countries that charge 100% when you import a car. I think the prices in Jordan might not be as high, but then again I have no idea.

And IMO, I would not import it if I had to pay over $15k let alone $50k. The warranty on an imported car is a hassle. You have to pay for every small problem and they do not honor the international warranty. I have experience with BMW, GMC, Lexus, and Honda.

BMW wouldn't even honor a known recall on 3 series tires, and I had the car sit at the dealer for 2 months because I needed tires and they said they were backordered. I finally had them shipped from the US and paid double, but it had to be done.
