I got the cargo area done for a deep scratch. They redid the whole top part from license plat to emblem for $350 at a certified bmw shop. Going by that price, I think you are getting a very good deal since you would likely require something that is at least 3x that.

thats why i am going to double check whether they will paint the entire door.

i mean if bmw have agreed to do it at that price, which you all say is too good to be true, then i should just go ahead with it.

i don't think they are stupid enough just to paint just over the scratch.

the worst thing is i think i know who did it. but the damage is done right?

It's no different here in France. I know just how you feel. Had it done to my car a few months ago. From the front all the way to the back.

It's low life loosers who feel the need to do this to make them feel better. At the end of the day they will always be low life loosers and never feel better....and they'll never have an X5.
