Rear compartment divider

Has anyone seen any rear compartment dividers for E70's? The E53 had a net that could be used to keep pets from climbing over into the back seat.

yes, i have it on mine. Link to realoem is here:

RealOEM.com BMW E70 X5 3.0si NETTED BLIND F SIGHT PROTECTION

however if you look at the detail it says it is not allowed to be fitted in USA for some reason!

The other thing to look out for is that I believe the cars without the option do not come with the sockets in the headlining to accept the net.

there is another option:
RealOEM.com BMW E70 X5 3.0si Gepäckraumtrennnetz 1. Sitzreihe

But that looks as it fits between the front and rear seats, no idea if that would meet your requirements.

I have the middle of those three. With two young children we often load the X quite high in the luggage compartment so it is useful to prevent stuff falling through under braking.

I believe the first one (all metal) does not work if you have the panorama roof.
The second one mounts behind the rear seats and separates luggage from seating area.
The third one mounts right behind the front seats to separate luggage from front passenger area.

it was the same in my E61
there were 2 slots at the back of the seats where I could slide in the divider and pull up the net all the way up to the roof (and it had panoramic roof)
have not tried that yet in my X5...

the picture on the right doesn't seem like an X5 to me... (no iDrive)

Again, these two dividers (2nd & 3rd in post # 4 above) are NOT the same. It has nothing to do with iDrive.
