Please help! Thank you!

I am on the verge of buying a 2008 BMW X5. It is a CPO, was bought at the local BMW delaer, same as where it is now, they have the service record, which is squeaky clean, a carfax, and was traded in by a loyal customer for a new 7 Series. It has 15k miles, and is loaded. The only things it does NOT Have are the Sport pkg and the M sport pkg. It has the rest. It has std tires and wheels, but this is a really clean auto. I had it put up on the lift, and really went through the thing. I am considering trading my car in, and was wondering what you all thought was fair as a main price. They are at $55k. I can justify this as they are giving me absolute top $ for my trade in, which is pristine as well, and I am not losing out, as I see me stepping into something much better. Please let me know what you all think, if there are things I should look for, things I should be careful of, and hopefully, I will be a regular member here! Thanks so much!

3.0 or 4.8? What are you trading and how much off the $55K are they giving you for your trade? You are usually much better off selling your old vehicle yourself rather than trading it.

My Bad, It is a s008 X5 4.8i. I am trading in a Toyota 4Runner, and am getting $21k for it. Not bad considering I paid $28.5k 2 years ago and it has 56k miles.
I went through the service records of the X5 and spoke at length with teh service tech who did it. The only issue was "squeaky" breaks, which are no big deal. I drove it and felt comfortable about the whole thing.
I know selling my vehicle would be better, but this is a company vehicle as well and is better to show trade in , as well as it is much easier to trade it in right now than find a buyer for this vehicle. I am pretty sure that I got close to what I would have sold it for. Anyways, how does this sound? I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on this.

I think $55K is pretty fair for an '08 4.8 15K with all options except sport package (if that is true that it has HUD, Active Steering, Ventilated Seats, Premium Sound, Comfort Seats, 3rd row seat, DVD Entertainment and the rest). Your trade sounds about right as far as what they are giving you. As always, try to get a lower price than what they are asking.
