New X5 Owner

Hello all and thanks to thh guys who responded to my earlier post about the deal I was working on with the X5. I ended up buying the 2008 X5 4.8. It is Black Sapphire, Black interior, and pretty much everything except Msport and sport pkg. I have only put 35 miles on it, but I do love it. I hope to be able to input here on my findings as well, and learn as much as I can. For now, I want to drive it and see what I learn and think.

OK.. Update... I just had to go to Warsaw from South Bend - I live in Indiana, BTW - and then back. The Speed limit is 60 MPH, but I set the cruise at 67-ish, as there were lots of ISP out. I looked at my MPG on the computer for city driving this morning, and while I wasn't impressed, I wasn't completely disappointed. I had 14.8 city. I am not a heavy throttle person, only when needed, so that might be part of the good side. My main thing here is that with the cruise set at 67, I got 21.4 mpg. I have the 4.8i so I figured maybe 19 best, more likely 18 mpg. I had a Toyota 4Runner with the V6 and got 22-23 MPG best on the highway, so to go from that to this with only a minor dip in economy is awesome. Plus I get such an improvement in vehicle. So my first foray was a great experience. I love this thing already!
