Sunglasses?

I'm looking at the 2009 X5. Will probably buy in the next month. I just realized (yes, it woke me up from a dead sleep) that I did not see a sunglasses holder during the test drive. Is there a sunglasses holder that I missed?

As far as I know it doesn't have one....not in Europe anyway.
I know some people put thier sunglasses in the cupholders.

Now go get some sleep....

Lack of sunglasses holder is one of the "more popular" small complaints of the E70 model. It's ridiculous that BMW did not provide one.

I bought the ashtray replacement which gave me a little more room but it's still not big enough for my glasses. I took out the plastic ashtray, lined the space with black felt, and that's where I keep my sunglasses now. Solution is not that elegant but I'll do a better solution later. At least my sunglasses don't get scratched.

I just put them in their case and keep them in the center console.

Visor clip here also... I don't see why it's not more popular? If it is too close to your headspace use the passenger visor.

Other vehicles have a bin in the roof but with our huge panaroof there wasn't much space for that.

I'll take the pano roof over sunglass storage any day. I love that roof

Now that BMW has taken out the Smokers' package on the 3er as standard equipment, it's not out of the question that they do that to the X5. Which means you'd have the accessories tray in place of the ashtray/lighter for your sunglasses.
