Hi lo66x5,

I am in the same situation as both of you, factory halogen headlights and would like to replace the angel eyes. I actually got someone to take the headlight out and found out the hard way that it does not use H8 bulbs. The factory angel bulb does look similar to the E90 one in that there should be two led's to each optical fibre for each ring. If you have any luck in installing these, please let me know. Thanks.

When you say you got someone to take the headlight out, how hard was this process. Do you have any details as previously in this thread its been stated that its a hell of a lot of work.

Any help would be appreciated

All of the bulbs that I am upgrading to are the HID Mtec 4750K Cosmos Blue White type, so I will have to find some LED's to try and match them but don't know if that's possible.
Looks like I will have to give the H8 ones away as well.
Are the angel eyes white already ?.. I'd think so if they are a LED bulb....would seem logical to be a LED bulb as they appear to be impossible to replace..!!!

I had one of my Halogens go yesterday and echo the fact that this is a complete nightmare of a job, my hands are shredded and I had to give up after about an hour of trying to get the new bulb clipped back in. Going to try again today, but this is the lousiest piece of design I have ever seen in a car.

This is for a halogen headlamp which is completely different !

I just replaced both front low beams on my 2007. The passenger side went and then a few days later the drivers side went.

Once i worked out the best way to hold my hand to get the clip to work properlyon the passengers side, it was ok. The drivers side on the other hand, what a massive PITA. The clip was on an angle that i couldn't get my hand on the right angle to get the clip back on. Took about an hour but somehow i got it back on.

The big problem, the range of light throw seems to be half of what it was with the factory bulbs, so i'm going to have to get some new bulbs and try again. Bummer.

I just used bulbs from a servo that i was driving by when they failed.
