No spare. I carry a tire repair/plug kit an airman compressor with a bottle of slime and gloves . All fits into a small tool bag.

The dealer told him that if you don't replace the tires with run flats, the TPMS would constantly default and that BMW couldn't reset it to a non-run flat.

Not true?
Not true, I have Michelin Latitude HP non RFT's on OEM Style 214 twenty inch wheels, the ride is great and I don't have any problems with TPMS. I have had them for almost a year now.

Replacement is a BMW policy not a manufactures policy. You will get the same song from almost all the BMW dealers. The dunlop ROF can be repaired with the proper plug equipment and procedure. Dunlop certifies the shop. I am not sure about the Michelin's, I believe the manufacturer does not recommend repair.

Not the Ultrac line. However, they do make other lines and they are supposed to be coming out with another high performance tire in the fall. Their all-season SUV tire is the Quatrac 3 SUV, but they don't come in 20".

ahh, thanks, thought you found a spare solution... will have to look at getting a spare when I switch since my wife drives the truck sometimes... on the other hand this might just be the perfect excuse to keep the X to myself ;-)

I'm with Denalio on that. I put about 300 miles on my new Vred's and could not be happier. I don't have a 3rd row, so I have a spare tire

Vred's perform well in other applications too. I have them on my G35 coupe and they are much better than Toyo's I replaced with them.

Just about Tyres: X5 2007, 19" wheels , I scrapped the Run Flat's and installed Pirelli 255/50R19 Scorpion zero, load index 107 , $560.- each. It's fantastic very very smooth no more bumping all the time and very little noise. Now it is the 125k vehicle. Thanks to Conquest Tyrepower Adelaide. The owner puts a lot of time in searching for the best tyre. phone 8340 1404
