Running Boards

Just ordered the OEM Running Boards and dealer said should be here in 2 days. I don't know if I can DIY this. Can't seem to find the step by step for this in here. Help !!!! coz dealer wants to charge 2hrs per side for labor.

I just did it with my friend yesterday. It took us 3 hours. The first side take us two hours to figure out and the other side was much quicker. You will need to buy some rivets since they will break after you remove it.
I have the instruction at work and will post it tomorrow.

to do this 4 job. Thats enough to try and do this myself.

Fitting instructions to follow

To remove the arches you need to remove the plastic rivets.
You do this by pushing in the centre pin of the rivet with a small screwdriver or punch. They are a tight fit so they will need a firm push.
Next I put a large screw into the hole, twisted it a couple of times then pull the rivet out with the screw. You can lever them out with a screwdriver but I didn’t want to damage the trims.

After you have removed all the rivets you are ready to remove the arch.
Start by pulling the arch trim from the back of the arch. You will have to give
it a little wiggle as you pull.

The rear arch trims also have 4 plastic panel clips holding them on so you will need release them as you pull it off. They are same type of clips that hold the door cards on, if you do not have a tool for this then just give it a good pull and they will come out.

Remember to transfer the clips from the old arch to the new one before fitting

The fronts come off the same as the backs accept they do not have the extra clips.
Fit the new arches; rivet them and your done

So, how much would it be to do the reverse of this--taking the running boards off and putting the normal side cladding on with labor and parts ? Any guesses ?

installed the running boards today following the pdf, although, it was pretty straight-forward. amazing how cheap they look comparing to the ones on the previous body style. oh, well...
