Burning rubber smell after kicking down

Hi all,
My 07' X5 (e70), 3.0Si, has a strange phenomenon. Everytime I kick down the accelerator and reach speed at about 160 ~ 170 KM/Hr. (100 ~ 105 Mile/Hr), right after I release the padel, I can smell something like burning rubber or burning oil.

The harder I kick down the strong smell I will have. That means if I accelerate the car gently, then the smell is not so significant; but if I hit the padel hardly, then I will have strong smell.

The dealer has checked the enging bay and did not find anything leak, they can't help on this issue.

Does anyone have any input about this issue? Thank you very much.

So you press the pedal to the floor and accelerate to 160 km/h ... no wonder you get a burning smell maybe it's rubber ? LOL

Yes, James, that's what I did and got the bad smell.

Do you mean that I was giving her a hardtime?

By the way, you said "it's rubber", did you mean the tyre? If so, I did not
hear the scream from the tyre.

Thans for your response.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
That is an odd one... Does it make a difference whether the AC is on or off? May be something with that because when you go full throttle the vehicle actually cuts the compressor off to free up a bit of power... so the AC can go from the usual cool clean feel to kinda muggy feeling from the vents.

You should see if AC on or fully off makes a difference...
