I'm another happy 4.8i customer!!!
 I haven't been on Xoutpost much lately and did not know about this thread. Took my 2008 E70 4.8i in for an oil change yesterday and complained about the "transmission hesitation and lurching -- especially when starting on a uphill". I was REALLY surprised when the SA got back to me and said there's a SIB (24 06 08) for that and they were going to do the software upgrade. Left the car overnight. They seemed to have some problems with the update but eventually completed it. I CANNOT believe how much better the 4.8i feels now! Uphill acceleration is so smooth. I think I'm going to be burning gas at even faster rate. My current average MPG is 6.2
