Tranmission Update SIB 24 06 08 for the 4.8 engine. MUCH SMOOTHER!!!

No charge. Car is under warranty. Obviously this is a verifiable complaint.

I suffered with this problem for two years and 30k miles. Got the update today and for the first time I have a proper functioning vehicle. Thanks for the post.

Ha! My dealer actually gave an invoice where they charged me labor on this. I complained to the SA and he said "oh, that's a mistake" and produced a new invoice. It was a little suspicious.

And yes, as long as you describe the problem you're seeing, you should get the update. I think some (most?) dealerships won't do the SIB update if you just say that you'd like to have it...
