I was going to wait for service until it was recommended, but I had some warning messages about the engine oil popping up, so I dropped it off this morning. Here is the stuff I'm getting done, and I will update when I get it back to see the resolution.
- Transmission update, explained the jerkiness during low speeds
- Rattles in both front seats. It seems there is a plastic piece that is loose at the bottom of the seat near the door pillar. The driver seat has been creaking like crazy recently.
- Car lurches after I turn it off, as the parking brake completes its activation.
- Irregular idle. Although I don't think it is the engine, but perhaps the alternator is malfunctioning.
- Related to the last item, or at least I think it is, when the car is idle, and say someone opens the door to get out, the interior lights would flicker somewhat. That could easily describe an alternator issue.
