electronic reset

anyone else experience there X just reset? What i mean is i made about 10 presets for the radio like 2 weeks ago, and now they all reset back to one station. When I used to start up the car the A/C unit never just turned on, now it automatically turns on (one notch). All the trip numbers resets etc.

ideas?

Ya I believe I used the same set of keys. Do the keys have a memory for everything?

Do you have any idea how you were able to NOT have the A/C turn on after restart >30 minutes. I'm envious if you know how...

I have no idea, this whole situation is weird. Why does the car start up with the A/C unit on?

CleanIsFast, were you ever able to start the car with the A/C off after you had turned the car off for more than 30 minutes? (ie: start the car in the morning with the A/C off)?

PureFlames is referring to the common complaint that the X5 automatically turns on the A/C when you start the car (if you had the car off for 30 minutes or more)? Really stupid feature. BMW claims it's their climate control feature.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
I think that is settable in car and key memory, and if you did happen to grab a different key that would explain all the different settings. (his and hers settings can also be disabled via CKM)

Had this exact problem, however, after it was parked for a couple of hours I started it and it acted normal (all presets, etc). Haven't had the problem recur. I have comfort access and think the problem may have been caused by hitting the start button before the computer was ready. I was in a rush and pressed the button and brake pedal as I hit the seat, may have been too quick for Windows.

I dont have the comfort access feature though. I mean its really not that big of a deal, but having the A/C turn on everytime is pretty annoying.
