Update
Thanks for the heads up.
I contacted BMW and they do not have any correspondence regarding this recall yet. Edit: I just received a message from BMW Customer Service, and they confirmed the rear brake disc recall. They said it affects X5 and X6 vehicles produced between May 22 and June 1. Fortunately, my X5 was built April 22, so I don't think I am affected. BMW will send recall notices via first class mail.
