x5 4.8i is on a distinguished road
Question Questions 09 x5 4.8 please read

i have a 09 x5 xdrive 4.8 fully loaded im going to take the car in because of these problems. Car was built in Jan or Feb 09

1.my brakes screech a lot when i stop (can someone explain why they do)

2.the car jerks forward when im waiting at a red light then accelerate(i heard this was something about the transmission? i read in a forum to give the dealer this code SIB 24 01 09 for a trans update)

3. My driver seat moves around when i take corners

4.I get about 230 mpg is that normal?

5.My i-drive lags a lot especially the back up camera, is there an update for me?

I read in a forum that the trans update will improve mpg is that true?
And does anyone else go through these problems?
If anyone can answer all these questions that be great
THANKS

Take her back to the dealer.

-Your seat should not move
-You may need a transmission software update or you may just need to get used to the sensitivity of the gas pedal.
-Your mpg will get better as you go.
-The brake noise is normal and will stop after some miles but there's a recall on brakes for the '09 X5 and X6s. The dealer will know for sure if your X is part of it. Someone posted a thread on the recall yesterday. http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...e-problem.html

-The delay in the back up camera is what it is.

Welcome and good luck.

If you're getting 230MPG I wouldn't risk changing a thing!

I figured he meant 230 miles per tank. Even 23 mpg would be compared to my 13.5

Of course he did, but the entertainment factor was too good to ignore.

With the way you drive you could quite possibly be the only person (besides Juan of course) to get sub 20MPG in a Prius.

just sayin'

I actually think Juan gets better mileage than I do I heard he was excited when he hit 14 mpg.

A prius wouldn't be as much fun as jumping on the X. Oh God, I love to drive her. She's a beast. I had an appointment in Allentown the other day. What a great ride. I tore up 287 and 78. I need to get out and drive more.

Hijack over.
