Left front wheel threads almost gone after 25,000
What could be the cause? Strange thing is only front left tire that is worn-out. Any ideas?

Thks for the feedback. Since u brought up brake fluid, mine is also due for top-up too. Another piece of info, the front brake pads are due for change in 2,000 km as well. The rear still have another 20,000km to go. Since E70 is a full-time 4W-drive, why is the front so different from the rear?

![]() the front brakes take most of the abuse as the weight transfer upon braking moves forward. rear brakes are more for stabilization of that transfer. brake bias. on a track car the left front usually takes more abuse than the right front. not sure what you are doing on the street to cause this. but whatever it is, keep it up. drive it like ya stole it!!!!!!!

Thks for all the advice!!
I finally brought it to a tyre shop to do the wheel alignment. This guy uses a Hunter system that hooked up your wheels with a reader that can get you alignment readings through wireless signals. Pretty cool. I was told that only my rear wheels camber (especially the rear left) needed some adjustment. The fronts are as good as new. Was also told that it could be the fast cornering that I have taken that wore out the outer front left rubber, especially on "right-hand drive" roads. Anyway, with the new tyres fitted, will monitor them closely. |

I always look for tires that have 'strong shoulders' (i.e. lots of rubber on the outer edges) to counteract this wear. Funf Dreisig |
