Angry Pretty Loud A/C blower noise coming from right side of the dash

Hello everybody,

I have an 07 4.8i, and when I start the car after it's been sitting in the hot sun, the Max AC kicks in and the fan/motor makes an increasingly loud noise (like redlining an engine but it's actually the blower motor).

It does this in cycles (3-4 times, the amount of air coming out the vents corresponds to the noise level, reaches maximum noise/air output, shuts off as if there is a safety mechanism and does it all over again)

It doesn't go on for long, only happens for the first 30 seconds of turning the car on, and the AC works as it should from then on. Even if I press the MAX AC button after, it works just fine and there is no noise. happens just at the start-up.

I know there was a related thread on this before, but can anyone comment?

Thanks
