bumper bully?

Is this the best bumper protection other than an actual bar? I have been avoiding bringing my X to the city when I know I have to park but it is inevitable... the parallel parking where people play bumper cars. I only plan to have it on when parked of course. At least the rear aero kit will be protected somewhat... assuming it reaches that far down because it hangs from straps... that's my other question... does it work with a split tailgate? Anyone with experience, even with another vehicle just as tall and works similarly?

My other SUV has a grill guard and the rear has a rear tire on a swing. Best protection ever.

another good solution and I certainly would do it just for this purpose, but it's a very involved task with the aero kit...

My rear hitch has saved me in a carpark a few times, its well worth the effort getting one attached even with the aero kit.

well I got it today and it fits nicely but I had to use the sticky pad (included) stuck onto the inner side of the lower tailgate since the straps won't velcro onto the rear carpeting back there. Except for the small yellow text on the product, and the 2 hanging straps, it actually blends in with the black bumper pretty well. Not that looks was what I was going for. It also stores nicely underneath, where the spare is.

Do you have a pic? I always wondered how that would work with a split tailgate.

I'll update if I can figure out a way to put the straps through the bottom instead.
