California Buy Back Program?
BMW : X5:eBay Motors (item 280366757615 end time Jul-28-09 10:00:00 PDT) While wading through the pics, i saw this info: Note: This 2008 BMW X5 4.8i Sport SAV was reacquired from its original owner by BMW North America due to issue listed below. Non-conformity:"No start." Repair made (if any): "Replaced alternator.” The vehicle has been thoroughly inspected and corrected - Repaired by BMW! BMW corrected the issue under factory warranty and placed the car back in service. We have all paperwork from BMW to confirm the car meets all quality standards. BMW provided us with the disclosure of the issue, which you as the new owner will have to sign. California law requires that a California title be noted with a Manufacturer Buyback / Lemon Law Buyback. This process does not affect the vehicle factory warranty in any way and the car has currently the Full Balance of BMW Factory Warranty for 4 Years/50,000 miles valid until 08-31-2012 or 50,000 miles whichever occurs first. Further, this car have also NO COST $0 BMW Maintenance Program for 4 years or 50,000 miles valid until 08-31-2012 or 50,000 miles whichever occurs first. Under California Law, the manufacturer must warrant to you, for a one year period, that the vehicle is free of the problem(s) listed above. IMPORTANT: Other states might not recognize the California buy back procedure and title in your state may not have a Manufacturer Buyback / Lemon Law Buyback notation. Please call us or your local state DMV for more details. This vehicle qualifies for extended warranties. We offer various extended warranty products for all budgets - Please contact us for your custom quote. OUR NOTE: We have test driven this vehicle and confirm drives and performs as New 2008 BMW X5 4.8i Sport SAV!! Does anyone have any experience with vehicles of this nature? 007 |

I don't peruse eBay very often...that may be the longest, most overdetailed
car "ad" I have ever seen. A photo post/write up project. Dunno why BMWNA would buy it back for an alternator fix. GL,mD

May have taken them more than three tries to figure-out the problem was the alternator. |
