Put the oval tips on today.. had to remove the bumper to get a good cut with the sabre saw.. but that was ok as I did the rear wheel arches at the same time... over and done in around an hour...

I'm assuming the exhaust diameter of the 35d and the 4.8 are the same size. Can anyone confirm that?

Once you cut off the existing tip, how are you connecting the new oval tips? Are you using some type of v-band clamp? Anyone know where I can source those?

Many thanks for the input!

Nice! I just received my oval tip and will do it next week.
How did you remove the black plastic cover around the original round tip? It looks like they are glue on without any screws...
Do you have the instruction for removing the rear bumper in case if i need to do that route?

Thanks.

Heres the official instructions.. removal of the bumper inserts is fairly easy using a stanley knife.. I had the bumper off when I did it..you'll notice the kit comes with all parts for petrol and diesel ...

Good luck guys the hardest part is cutting the tailpipe... I measured about 105mm to allow for any errors... I used a sabre saw which jumped around a bit , so I started the cut with a hacksaw.... note I took the bumper off to get good clearance for the cut as the sabre saw I got was quite big...better if you had it on a hoist or maybe on car wheel racks or something to elevate the rear end.

The directions show that you straighten the pipe after you tighten it ... Is that how you guys did it? Mine are a little cock-eyed and I have not messed with them much yet. I have the diesel and I am starting to wonder if the kit is not made for the 35d ...
