Removing a vehicle check indicator...

Does anybody know how/who can get rid off that annoying vehicle check warning indicator? It's just a part of the maintenance schedules (there's nothing wrong with any system) near 60k miles. Dealer estimated $250 to do the inspection and turn it off. I think it's just a rip off. Please let me know if you guys know any places/person near Orange County has a BMW computer system that can turn off the sign.

It is not a good idea to assume you know why the engine check light is on. You should check the OBD codes to make sure it is not something serious prior to resetting the light. Several online BMW parts places sell a OBD code reader that will allow you to reset the light (e.g. Bavarian Auto). IMO Anyone who is doing their own maintenance, even simple oil changes, should have one of these readers.

+1. I have the Bavarian Technic cable and am able to read all codes and also view the maintenance schedule as well as reset or adjust. Very handy tool.
