I like this more than I thought I would. Too late, my new X5 is headed my way on the delivery truck. I was turned away from the leather dash upgrade by the sticker shock but man; maybe it's worth it. Looks really nice, Craig.

Thanks, I had the leather dash in my 2000 M5 and really liked it..
I wish my X5 had the suede headliner my M5 had as well.

I also like the comfort seats with the nappa leather.

Definitely rare; I've never seen a leather dash in person. I can imagine the headliner would be quite impressive too.

I went w/ sport seats + standard leather but seriously considered your same set-up. Most of my trips are short and fast so the sport bolsters are nice. The standard leather is more sand papery than the nappa but I've got a toddler and a dog so I don't want to add any more anxiety than I already have about my new seats.

Wow leather dash and yet no NAV or Tech pkg! Looks nice but wouldn't you rather spend that money on other options that you would actually make use of?? It wasn't an option here, but I would get that only after I got every other possible option (which I already have) ...

Brother; don't hate. Different strokes for different folks. Lucky for you not everyone has your same tastes or your auto wouldn't be unique. BTW, I didn't get nav either. I think replacing a portable Garmin or Magellan with a new one every 3 years works better.

No, I didn't want the Nav. It's outdated and I also have an I Phone that has navigation if I need it. My Lexus LS 460 has Nav. I ordered what I wanted... I also have premium sound, sport package, satellite radio, heated seats, park distance control, rear climate ect... I didn't order a plain jane model. I'm glad you have all the options... I also waited two years for the diesel option. I really wanted the 20" wheel option, but it wasn't available on the diesel. That's the option I miss the most.

It wasn't available in 2008.

Craig

Gotta say, the leather dash does look sweet, even if it is $1900.

Out of curiosity, do we think we can leave the seats with the Dakota leather with the Nappa dash? Or do we need to fork over another $2400 for the seats too?

It came as a package. I don't think it's available as a stand alone option...

I'm also curious about how the leather dash will wear over time. Is this going to be faded and cracked in 5 years or be as bulletproof as the stock dash?
