It's too dark tonight but there is a little ball welded to middle of the frame cross member between the rear wheels. And there are four small captured nuts in the middle of the underside of the cargo bay floor panel. Mine has little white pen lines pointing to each of the capture nuts. The gas strut attaches to the ball on the fame and a plate that attaches to the floor board via the captured nuts.

FWIW The manual has picto-drawing of the strut in place.

Thanks Funf. Got the set up but not the strut or the plate. Will it all fit with the spare in place?
