Thanks for the info. What spacers did you use, and any chance of a photo of what your vehicle looks like with the mod !! Thanks.

ring007, I was going to do the same but go with 275/45-20, which is a just a little over sized. Saw one locally with that setup and it looked very "right", didn't scream after market or anything.
which ebay seller did you use for your 214s?

thanks

HUK - I bought them from ebay seller: direct. They did a good job and the wheels are as good as reps come. I paid $950 shipped for 4 of the 10" wheels. Link for their current auction attached
Brand NEW BMW X5 20 inch LA 214 Single Wheel Rim 71177:eBay Motors (item 120355803890 end time Sep-24-09 11:25:10 PDT)=

And I used TPMStrader for the TPMS sensors and stems.

I used H&R spacers they bolt on then you use the original wheel bolts to attach to the wheel.... I'll get a photo soon... the day I added the spacers was a big one as I did the following in the space of 5 hours all on my lonesome !!!

1. Went and hired a sabre saw
2. Removed rear wheel arches and bumper
3. Cut the exhaust pipe and added the oval pipes extensions
4. Put the bumper back on added the flared wheel arches and mudflaps to front and back (had to remove the 4 wheels one by one !)
5. Added the 30mm wheel spacers (greased them up to ensure they don't bond to the wheel if they need to be removed)
6. Changed my D1S HID headlight bulbs to Philips 6k Ultinons...

Next mods are gloss black grills at the front including painting the lower silver trim under the fogs to black... wiring up the Angel eyes to not dim when headlights are on, Hid 6k lights in the fogs (gonna try 8k HIDS in the Angel Eyes also to see how they look , if too bright I'll just stick to my Hoen H8 but with a full power circuit when on and a delay feature...)...

I recently got H&R spacers as well, but are you saying you put bolts on top of bolts? Is it because 30mm is too big for longer bolts? I had to get the longer ones and my originals are useless.

If you get 25mm or 30mm the spacers bolt directly onto the hub using the bolts supplied with the spacer... you then bolt the wheel onto the spacer using the original bolts.. this means you don't need to use longer bolts to hold the spacer and wheel (which you need with 20mm and less spacer).

I wonder if anyone has the opposite pictures. I am curious how far out the 20" 214 wheel with 315 tire sticks out on an E70 without the fender flares.

Anybody have that set up and if so, can you post some pictures?
