Question Mixing front and rear tire brands (with pics!)

Hi all,

I have 2 brand new bridgestone dueler h/l 400 255/50R19 on my rear wheels - recently replaced due to road hazards. The front tires - old - have 23K miles on them, and pretty much shot at this point.

I want to get Michelins Latitude Tour HP ZP for the front set (good reviews from members on this board), while keeping Bridgestones in the back since I've just recently replaced them.

Is this a good/bad thing to do - mixing thread patterns on rear and front - for this SAV ? Please advise.

Thanks

one thing for sure is you want the OD of all four to be the same and wear evenly. so if the ones in the back are partially shot and the ones in front are new and would make the OD (outer diameter) bigger (larger) then i would have so that would put some strain on the center diff and therefore be no good after extended period of time.

No seriously.... Would you consider those as "worn" and should be replaced soon ?

No...at least to the point that it need to be replaced SOON. Looks like you have at least a good 50-60% thread life.
