Coming from MB, I still prefer how MB implements the PDC.

My $0.02.

I had Parktronic on the two MB's I had, and it is superior to the BMW PDC. First, it is always on, but since it is a seprate display, you don't notice it unless you want to notice it. It also comes on immediately, no delay waiting for the iDrive to boot up. And not nearly as hyper sensitive.

FWIW I have no issue with the PDC display being always on; its the loud gong that drove me crazy during our extended test drive. But then ALL of the E70 gong sounds are both too loud and too persistent for my taste. For example, the seat belt gong that persists even when the X5 is in park, with the parking brake set - DUH.

Wonder if he's referring to the X5M which is a 2010 model? Or the entire X5 line?

My question as well. I did not see any "normal" X's for the model year 2010 coming down the assembly line two weeks ago.

I think they were pushing out the ///M models. My status just changed yesterday to "Scheduled for Production" for 2010 X6.
