Rear Ent. Remote

I ordered a replacement remote off ebay for my missing factory rear entertainment system. I have a 2007 X5 4.8. The part # on the back of teh remote looks like 6 921 553 A105. I put in fresh batteries, get a red light when I push buttons on the remote but it doesn't seem to operate the rear system at all.

Any thoughts?

when they put mine in, I thought it was broken. You had to point at the monitor instead of the unit. So for my operation, you point on at the monitor, and turn the monitor on. Then (point at the monitor) turn on the DVD unit. apparent the IR receiver is located on the monitor. I have duel monitor, so hopefully the single is the same. good luck.
