E70 4.8 Sport Pkg. 20" Tire Replacement Advice

I'm at 24,000 miles, and the OE tires are roaring and worn. Dealer wants $2340 for replacement set!

What's been successful replacement tires for you who have done it with the E70 20's? Bridgestone Duellers? or something else.

Thanks!

I would go to www.tirerack.com load in your car and they will give you most brands of replacement tires (including OEM tires) that fit for the best price around. Each tire will have comments and customer ratings as well, so you can make an educated decision. I have also called them and asked for help and never been steered wrong. Great group that does a lot of research....

Thanks! They are great, but I was looking for some X5-specific advice. I'll take advice from you guys any day over general public opinion!

I've got a set of Toyo Proxes S/T II, 275/40R20 front & 315/35R/20 rear. This is the latest all season tire from Toyo, I need it for the great Canadian Winter, it works great, less road noise and better wet traction, a lot more wear and much better in price. It is NOT RFT (Run Flat Tire) so I am carrying a repair kit just in case, but BMW Road Side Assistance should still looking after me.

24K miles for OE tires! I envy you

Just a few minutes ago I placed an order for a set of Vredestein Sessanta Ultrac SUV. I'm very impressed with the non-SUV version of these tires. I have them on my Infiniti G35 coupe. SUV version gets good reviews on the net too.

I paid slightly less than $900 for a staggered 275/315 set for 214 wheels. This amount includes shipping.

I am looking at the same tires here in Canada $1190.00 Taxes in and shipped to my door. I have heard all good things about these tires. Do you know what the wear rating is on them?

If you want to stick to OEM go the Dunlops, the Bridgestone are noisey and the RFT's in Dunlops can take a repair!
