Two actually, they were nailed together like a cross. Probably 6 inches long. I came out from behind a left lane hog, coming into a curve and there it was. I had no where to go, I tried to get it between my front wheels and drive over it but I didn't have enough room with a car to my left. It caught the inner side of my left front tire. I must have caught enough of it that the tire rode over it and didn't kick it back up. What a hit! Somehow my rear wheels cleared it. I braced myself and nothing happened.
I guess the stiff sidewalls saved me.
I thought for sure I'd have a blowout and a bent wheel.
Just saying...Whew.
