Question E53 wheels on an E70?

Hi there. I have a 2008 E70 4.8 sport package and the 20" wheels. I replaced the horrible run flats with all-season Michelin Latitude Tour HPs that I so far very happy with. They may even get me through the winter here in Boston. But....

A friend of mine who sold his E53 donated his winter wheel set to me. They are Michelin Alpins 235/65/17 on OEM 5 spoke wheels.

I know there is a hub size issue. Can anyone tell me if there is a mod or other solution that will make this work?

Any help appreciated. Thanks, Speldog

E53 hub bore size is: 72.56. E70 bore is 74.1...
so, unless you had those E53 wheels bored bigger
by a machine shop, they won't fit.

Thank you

Many thanks for the info and your time in replying.

I thought I had done a fairly good search. All the results I got were form posters trying to do the opposite of what I want to do. Which is much easier with the help of hub rings. I will try harder next time.
Thanks again
