I gave up last week at 16,500: wavy tires made a horrible noise, thread too thing for upcoming 3K trip, badly needed an alignment. My salesperson thought I would be lucky to get 12K out of them.

One word for you: Michelin

I used to do a yearly or 15 or 18k tire swap on my 528 (and 328 efore that) all the time. Until someone told me about Michelins... Man! what a difference! I've been driving on Michelins since ~2002 (528i) and they outlast any other tire I've ever driven on (Pirellis, Dunlops, Contis, Yokohamas) by 2:1 easy or more. I don't know what it is about the other tires and why the manufacturers are still in business knowing this, but I just refuse to buy anything other than a Michelin knowing that while yea, maybe it costs a bit more than the others I will easily get twice as much life out it.

My $0.02

Spacey

At 15K, they were shot. At 22K I gave up. Replace with Duelers HP Sport RFT, got 38K out of them. On my second set of Duelers now, very pleased with them.

My Dunlaps are shot as well with 16,300 miles. I'm pulling the trigger on some Bridgestone Duelers RFT's here very soon. It must be these FL roads because I can't see how folks are pulling over 20K on the Dunlaps. I can probably pull it off but I'd be skating into the tire shop with absolutely no tread on the tires. ;-)

Glad to hear Kyzrose got some decent mileage out of the Bridgestones. I was curious about what folks were pulling off them.

I have a little over 16,000 miles on mine right now. For the most part, the fronts are pretty warn. I still can't see the head on a penny so I figure I have a little more tread to use. I'm guessing/hoping for 20K max. The rear's have a lot more tread. I can see them getting to 25K without any problems.

Roads here (around LA and OC) are alright. There's only 1 street that I've driven on that was very noisy, otherwise they aren't that bad.

I'm surprised that the roads in FL are bad. But then again, my impression of the roads is from the airport to Disney world which is paved very nicely. Rest of FL probably isn't that way.
